How do I book a stay at Forest Lane Lodges?
You can book directly through our website for the best rates and latest availability.
Also through Air BnB and booking.com
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3 TO 5 PM and check-out is by 11am. If you require flexibility, please contact us in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
What is included in my stay?
Each lodge includes comfortable accommodation, a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, heating, TV, outdoor seating and dining area, full spa access which includes covered seating area, fire pit, sauna and ice bath, and access to our woodland surroundings.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
2 night minimum stay requirement.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, our Sean Lodge is pet-friendly. This includes a large fully enclosed outdoor safe area to allow your dog to explore. We ask that dogs are supervised at all times and that owners clean up after their pets.
Are assistance dogs welcome?
Absolutely. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the property. Please give us notice for this.
Are the lodges suitable for families?
Yes, our Sean, Domhnall and Doireann lodges are ideal for families looking to enjoy nature and spend quality time together.
Is parking available?
Yes, free on-site parking is available for all guests.
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes, all bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.
Can I order food or hampers?
Yes, guests can pre-order locally sourced hampers, including breakfast, barbecue, subject to availability. Please give 48 hours notice for this.
Are the lodges self-catering?
Yes, each lodge is equipped with electric hob, cooking utensils and outdoor barbecue to allow guests to prepare their own meals.
Is smoking permitted?
No. All lodges are non-smoking and non-vaping to ensure a comfortable environment for all guests.
Is Forest Lane Lodges accessible?

Can I book multiple lodges for a group?
Yes, subject to availability. Please contact us directly if you are planning a family gathering, wellness retreat, or group stay.

We are located just minutes from Thurles town and approximately 4km from Semple Stadium, Thurles Racecourse, and Thurles Greyhound Stadium.
What attractions are nearby?
Nearby attractions include the Rock of Cashel, Holycross Abbey, Farney Castle, Devil’s Bit Mountain, Upperchurch Walking Trails, Jim of the Mills, and many local restaurants, pubs, and cultural attractions.

Yes, our accessible lodge has step-free access from the designated parking area to the entrance.
Is accessible parking available?
Yes, accessible parking is available approx. 20 metres to the accessible lodge with tarmac path and ramps to lodge.
Are doorways wide enough for wheelchair users?
The accessible lodge has been designed with wider doorways to improve access for wheelchair users and guests with mobility aids.
Is the bathroom accessible?
Yes, the accessible lodge includes an accessible bathroom with features designed to support guests with reduced mobility.
Can I bring my wheelchair, mobility scooter, or walking aid?
Absolutely. Guests are welcome to bring any mobility equipment required during their stay.
Are assistance dogs welcome?
Yes. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout Forest Lane Lodges at no additional charge.
Is the site suitable for guests with limited mobility?
The accessible lodge and key guest areas have been designed with accessibility in mind. However, as Forest Lane Lodges is located within a natural woodland environment, some outdoor areas and trails may have uneven surfaces.
Are there accessible outdoor spaces?
Yes, guests can enjoy accessible outdoor seating areas close to the lodge. Some woodland paths may be less suitable for wheelchair users due to the natural terrain.
Can you provide information about accessibility before I book?
Yes. We are happy to discuss accessibility requirements before booking and can provide detailed information, photographs, and measurements where needed.
Do you cater for guests with sensory sensitivities?
Forest Lane Lodges offers a peaceful, low-noise environment with minimal traffic and a natural woodland setting, which many guests find relaxing and calming. Bird song and cows are the main noises, but as it is a working farm there will be the odd noise of a tractor.

Absolutely. Every guest’s needs are different, and we encourage you to contact us before booking so we can provide accurate information and help you plan your stay with confidence.
Are staff available to assist if needed?
As a family-run business, we are available to answer questions and assist guests wherever possible. Please let us know in advance if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable.
Is the accessible lodge only for wheelchair users?
No. The accessible lodge is designed to benefit a wide range of guests, including older visitors, people with reduced mobility, and anyone who may find step-free accommodation more convenient. Its our most spacious luxurious lodge with its own hot tub and out door shower and ample outdoor space, perfect for a couples getaway.
Can carers or companions stay in the lodge?
Yes, carers, family members, and companions are welcome to stay with guests in accordance with the lodge occupancy limits.
